There was one track I heard played during the DJing before Autechre's sets
on Saturday in NYC and Monday in Boston that I'd love to ID. It was a
pseudo-electro track built on a steady beat but with what sounded like
samples of another electro track on top swishing around with the beat. The
samples were being played so they would speed up and and slow down, stop
very fast as if someone was pushing stop and start really quickly on a
turntable, similar to some of the tricks used on the organ sound in "my red
hot car". If anyone can figure out what the hell I'm talking about based on
these clues let me know.
